New HSE Targeted Inspection Assessing Workers Exposure to Silica Starts this Month
Health and Safety Executive has recently updated their guidance on silica exposure in the workplace. This will affect manufacturing firms such as tile, brick, and kitchen worktop manufacturers as well as stoneworks and foundries.
Over Autumn and Winter, HSE will be carrying out focused inspections on such manufacturing companies to ensure that employers are putting in place suitable protection for their employees in compliance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH).
To find more details, you can read HSE’s guidance.
